You’re the Overthinker

You care deeply about getting it right. You replay situations and second-guess your choices because you want to be the best parent you can be. Your awareness is a strength, now it’s time to build trust in yourself.

You’re not here by accident. You’re here because you care deeply and because parenting has a way of bringing out parts of ourselves we didn’t even realize were there.

You clicked on this quiz because something inside you is asking:

“Why is this so hard… and how can I do it differently?”

The truth? Most of us were never taught how to stay calm in the chaos, understand what’s happening beneath our child’s behavior, or regulate our own reactions before we respond.

So we default to snapping, fixing, overexplaining, retreating, or shutting down.

But awareness changes everything.

Now that you know your pattern, you can finally start to shift it, and no, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Inside The Connected Parent, we go deeper.

Together, we break the cycle, build tools that actually work, and create the kind of home you always hoped for...one conversation at a time.

This is just the beginning and I’m so glad you’re here.

Tracey

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Tracey, a Certified Life Coach, Special Education Teacher, and mom of two teens. I created The Connected Parent to help parents understand what’s happening beneath the behavior, respond with more confidence, and build the connection they want at home.

Because you’re not doing this wrong, you’ve just never had the tools. Until now.

The Overthinker

You care deeply about getting it right. You replay conversations, question your choices, and wonder if you could have handled things differently. Your awareness is a strength, but too much second-guessing can make you lose confidence in your own parenting instincts.

The Peacemaker

You work hard to keep the peace. When emotions rise, your instinct may be to smooth things over quickly or avoid conflict altogether. Your calm presence is a strength, but sometimes your child needs more than things feeling okay, they need space to work through the hard moments while still feeling connected to you.

The Director

You are a problem solver. When things feel chaotic, your instinct is to step in, fix it, and bring order back quickly. Your leadership is a strength, but sometimes slowing down and creating connection first helps your teen feel safe enough to listen.

The Rescuer

You have a big heart and you don’t want your child to struggle alone. Your instinct is to step in, help, and make things better quickly. Your support is a gift, but sometimes your child needs you beside them more than they need you to fix it for them.

Let’s Stay Connected

You’ve taken the first step toward feeling more confident and connected at home.

In the meantime, come say hi, ask a question, or follow along for more tips that make parenting feel a little less chaotic, and a lot more doable.
